I’d like to extend a warm greeting to listeners of the Ron Smith Show on WBAL radio who are visiting this site today. Ron graciously read a significant portion of my entry regarding blogging and Ben Cardin on the radio this afternoon.
Let me take a moment to introduce myself and offer a brief overview of what else you might find here. I’m sure something will strike your fancy.
First of all, my name is Aaron Brazell. I am a 30 year old entrepreneur and blogger in Baltimore County. For the past two and a half years I have written about an assortment of topics, most recently settling on technology and internet media - blogging in particular. As a core member or the third largest blogging network in the world, b5media, Baltimore can claim a successful and influential member of the blogging world, with inside an intimate knowledge of what it takes to be successful out here.
My presumption is that you ended up here because you are interested in news and take a keen interest in the goings on of our world. Recently, there were some rumblings by some notable bloggers to “find out the truth” in New Orleans, and I was one that took those bloggers to task - which landed me an interview with the Sun. Journalism is not journalism if care is not taken.
Some other pieces that have been written from an array of perspectives are Open Dialog: How Can We Change a Historical Trend, Admitted “Impeachable Offenses” and Regarding Civil Liberties. As a political pundit, I have taken a markedly independant tone, providing criticism to both Republicans and Democrats.
If you’re interested in blogging as a communication medium, you may like to know how to use tags instead of categories or perhaps A Tale of Three Bloggers, a parable about three different mentalities in the online media world.
You can also keep up to date with this blog’s RSS feed located here.
Finally, I thank Ron for taking the time to read my entry on the air. I personally welcome an opportunity to work with WBAL and would like to further engage the show hosts going forward.
In the meantime, enjoy your stay! I’m enjoying yours.
