Major League Baseball plans to break out pink bats on mothers day to raise breast cancer awareness according to an article in the Merc. Novel idea but something about Barry Bonds breaking the Babe’s homerun record using a pink bat is somewhat… bizarre.

Still, I always have the same questions about these things: Does MLB favor breast cancer every other day? And what about the diseases/causes whose logos they aren’t wearing?
not to be a cynic or anything. :-) I did secure a picture of Albert Pujols swinging his pink bat, though.
