Since the beginning, I have resisted becoming an affiliate, or in any other way tying myself to any group. Instead, I have maintained my independence.
Until today. I have decided to partner with the Blue Fish Network. I like their personal touch. When applying, I didn’t have to deal with some HTML form to fill out and hope someone would read the email. Instead, founder Andy Merrett was in contact with me very quickly and welcomed me aboard. Here’s the Network’s official welcome to me.
A little about Blue Fish:
- We are a UK-based, internationally-welcoming network of niche web sites and blogs outside the mainstream media.
- We bring together people who have the talent, passion, and integrity to publish distinctive, quality sites.
- We deliver content that informs, challenges, encourages and entertains.
- We strive to build the profile, reputation and reach of independent media and blogging throughout the UK and beyond.
- We do not seek to gain financial reward as a network, though member sites may choose to monetise their content.
- We are dedicated to working honestly, transparently and with total commitment to every member.
UK-based, eh? I’ll forgive you! ;) In fact, the reason I picked Blue Fish over b5media, whose founding member is my friend and You Can Blog co-author Jeremy, was because they were NOT Canadian! ;)
Again, j/k
I hope that this partnership will assist BFN in their growth potential and will connect this blog to folks who can help this site grow into a community-based content site (my ultimate goal!)
