Birthday Blitz Winners

As mentioned yesterday, the winners of the birthday blitz contest have been chosen, notified and they have all claimed their prize.

The first place winner is Mike Rundle for his comments about The Blog Herald: Then and Now:

Hey Aaron, very good assessment of things over at BH. I think lately Matt’s been doing an incredibly good job so I’m actually pretty confused to see the Alexa stats look like that. I don’t really trust Alexa much anyway, seeing as how they show 9rules higher in the same timespan, even though we’re nowhere near where we’d like to be for traffic. I really hope that you get picked to write over there… we’ve had some good conversations in the past via email so it’d be great to hear your voice at a familiar stomping ground :)

Bloody hell Aaron… to take up the whole first page on a Google search… nice going! I’ve been second on my name for ages but I’m also in the shadow of the guy who runs Straight Blast gym dagnammit.

And the third place winner was Jesse with his comment on the Da Vinci Code:

Prove that the Church isn’t hiding anything.

Au contraire. The church is not hiding anything, and never has. It’s up to you to prove that it is, and I’m betting you can’t.

Prove that these “stories” that are 100s of years old that have been translated from languages no longer used and stories told from person to person are correct.

There is no need to. The Bible as repeatedly been proven to be historically accurate. These secondary documents that Dan Brown claims were kept out of the Bible because of the secrets they held were in fact written hundreds of years after the fact, unlike the Bible. They also contain no factual information that can verrified, unlike the Bible. If you ever take the time to read any of them you’ll be stunned at how high on pot the authors sound.
