Back from Mexico

I’m back from Mexico, as of this past Saturday evening. Travelling is a real pain, especially international travel. It took us an hour and a half to get through Immigration, Customs and Security in Houston before we could even begin walking toward our connecting gate - and Houston is not a small airport. They don’t call it George Bush Intercontinental Airport for nothing.

But we arrived safe and sound. Sunday was spent doing laundry, unpacking and watching football, and of course, uploading photos.

I found it very interesting that I work with three Australians (Darren, Duncan, Shai), a Canadian (Jeremy), an Englishman (Jonic), An American living in London (Hsien) and an American living in Texas (Christina) and going to Cancun I would end up meeting and spending time with more Americans. But that was not how it was. The entire week, I found myself hanging out with Brits. I never knew so much about Newcastle United, David Beckham and how the north of England really can’t stand Londoners. It’s quite fascinating.

Truth is this was a much needed vacation. Aside from my honeymoon six years ago, during which we went to Maine and Boston and also during which I was arrested for the first and only time in my life, this was our first vacation. It was more special because it was like a second honeymoon for us after getting back together and being so near divorce last year at this time. And it fell within a month of our six year anniversary. And it was my birthday. The trip was special.

Again, I’d like to thank Qumana for this trip. I have never won any contest in my life. That I won this trip to Mexico was unbelievable.

Besides, if I didn’t go, you would never have heard about Darren poking around my backend! Thank you to ALL the guest bloggers. Some very entertaining stuff and great quality content. I appreciate their hard work while I was gone.
